There are several ways to find the computer and technical books you want on this site. 

      Searching

1. Simple Search > Results > Detail Page

At the top left of each page, there is a search box. You can enter the title, author, ISBN, keyword, or publisher by using the drop-down box underneath. The results will show you all books for that search term. 

Search results will show only the books' titles. Click on the title to see each book's detail page. Simple search results will contain ALL books - Spanish and English, in stock, out of stock, and coming soon titles. 

 

2. Advanced Search > Results > Detail Page

On the advanced search page, you can again search by title, author, ISBN, keyword, or publisher, but with a difference. You can enter terms for more than one criteria. For example, you can enter a publisher's name, and also a keyword to return results for that keyword, but only for books by that publisher. 

You can also narrow your search to include only books that are in stock, only titles that are "coming soon", only titles that are unavailable (out of print, etc), or any combination of the three. 

You can narrow your search further to show only books written in Spanish or only books written in English. Advanced Search

3. Main Categories > Subcategories > Results > Detail Page

You can use the Browse button across the top, or the Categories link on the left. Both go to the main category page, which lists our 41 categories of computer books. 

Clicking on a category link will take you to a subcategory page, which lists all subcategories for that category. 

Clicking on a subcategory link will take you to a list of the computer books for that category, and will show 15 books per page. This page will show you a thumbnail of the cover, the ISBN number, the publication date (so you can determine the age of the book), the publisher, the stock status, the beginning of the description, and our price. All books are shown - Spanish and English, in stock, out of stock, and coming soon titles. Each subcategory may have 1 or more pages of books. 4. Category Tree > Category or Subcategory > Results > Detail Page

At the top of each category or subcategory page, you will see a link to the Category Tree. All 41 categories, and their subcategories, are listed on this page (about 1500 subcategories). So if you're not sure where your subcategories might be listed, you can check the Category Tree. You can press Control-F to bring up a search box and search the page quickly. Category Tree

5. Sale Books > Detail Page

Use the link to Sale on the left side of each page. Click on the title or cover for more information. Sale Page

 

6. What's New Category List > Results > Detail Page

The What's New pages contain computer books that have been released or re-released this month. What's New

 

7. Used Books > Categories > Results > Detail Page

Used books can be found in the Main Category List, the Used Books button across the top of each page, or the Slightly Worn link on the left of each page. Used Books

 

8. Coming Soon Category List > Results > Detail Page

Books that haven't been released yet are listed in the Coming Soon section. If you see something that you are interested in, click on the Notify Me link and we will let you know when the book becomes available. Coming Soon

 

9. Detail Page > Sample Chapters > Table of Contents > Other Book Data

Detail pages may contain links to extended information about the book. Be sure to look in on the right side of the book description for these links.
