Wiley Book Cover Design Contest
John Wiley and Sons, one of the leading publisher of books on Adobe’s products, is giving the creative community an opportunity at national recognition by offering a book cover design contest.
Here’s how you win. The judging panel will select the cover that will be used for the book. To win the cash, book, and SmugMug prizes, you just need to have the most people give your art “thumbs ups” and 5-star comments. People don’t have to sign up to vote. The winners will be announced by November 15th.
Prizes are:
- Grand Prize - Fame. A write-up on the Winner’s page, your profile and a link to your site, plus a free lifetime account from SmugMug.
- First Prize - $500 and a free SmugMug account for 3 years. This goes to whoever wins the “popularity contest”.
- Second Prize - $200 worth of Wiley books, and a 2 year account to SmugMug.
- Third Prize - $100 of Wiley books, and 1 year to SmugMug.
What book? Photoshop for Right Brainers, 3rd Edition, by Al Ward.

ADOBE HAS LAUNCHED it’s new Photoshop Express beta. It’s an free online toned-down version of Photoshop, and can be found here.
It’s geared towards the new generation of users who edit, store and share photos online. It’s much easier to learn than Photoshop, and since it is web-based, it can be used with any type of computer or browser or operating system (even Linux!). All you need is a browser and Flash 9.
